Yorgos Tsom was born in Athens at the turn of the century. After experimenting with many instruments, he eventually focused on piano and double bass.

He holds an Integrated Master's degree in Musicology with a specialization in Music Technology from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens as well as a MA in Music Composition from the Academy of Music And Drama Of Gothenburg’s University.

His practice moves between composition and performance, driven by an interest in how sound interacts with other forms of art. He often works with theatre, dance, and performance, while also exploring installation, film, and media, creating immersive spaces where sound does not just accompany but shapes the artistic work.
